Most often my dreams disintigrate the very moment I wake up and become nothing more than a hazy recollection, lost in the fog of my subconscious. The ones I have been able to hold in my mind long enough to remember upon waking over the last several months have all held the same motifs.
I find myself in a large building...a mansion, museum, or more recently a hotel. The building is full of large rooms, long corridors, stairs and secret passageways. I'm never entirely sure where I'm going, but there's always someone coming after me. I have to hurry for I don't want to be found yet. I'm searching for someone.

I'd recommend the book House of Leaves, except that I think it's pretty lame. A good amount of people like it, though. It's about a house this bloke moves into that doesn't obey physics. They find out that there is a vast area of dark rooms and passageways inside it, and decide to explore. The house parts aren't too bad, but the sidestories are more or less rubbish.
